Sweeping Health Insurance Reforms Signed Into Law
For decades Americans with chronic medical conditions like celiac disease have struggled to obtain health insurance due to presence of preexisting conditions. The ability to deny or rescind coverage because an individual has celiac disease has ended. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act bars insurers from using these unfair practices.
President Obama signed the bill on March 23, it is now Law.
