Spicy Chili Con Carne

Gluten Free Spicy Chili Con Carne

Ingredients:
1 Large White Onion, Peeled and Diced
1 Green Pepper, Diced
1 7 Ounce Can of Diced Green Chiles
1 15 Ounce Can of Organic Diced Tomatoes
1 8 Ounce Can of Tomato Sauce
1 Can of Dark Red Kidney Beans
1 Can of Black Beans
1 Pound of Ground Turkey
Chili Seasoning Mix (See Below)
Chili Seasoning Mix
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 tablespoon dried, minced garlic
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons dried parsley
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions:
Saute onion, green pepper and green chilies in olive oil for about 5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Add the ground turkey and brown. After meat is browned, add diced tomatoes, tomato paste and chili seasoning mix. Stir and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Put in airtight container and refrigerate overnight. The next day, put meat and veggie mixture into Crockpot. Add the kidney beans and black beans and cook on low for at least 2 hours. Serve with grated cheese, sour cream and diced green onions.
