Frankfort, IL 100 % Gluten Free Restaurant

-

A 100% gluten free restaurant means the restaurant  is dedicated to preparing only gluten free food.  No products containing gluten are used in the restaurant. There should be almost no risk of cross contamination in these restaurants.  OMG…It’s Gluten Free! is a 100% gluten free restaurant.  Unfortuantely there are not many gluten free restaurants in North America.  The Celiac Restaurant Guide encourages Celiacs to support gluten free restaurants that are near you. If gluten free restaurants are supported by Celiacs more will open, and the ones that are now open will continue to profit and stay in your communities.

OMG…It’s Gluten Free! (100% gluten free restaurant)

OMG…It’s Gluten Free! is a 100% gluten free dine-in and carry-out café, serving the Chicago and area with a large assortment of delicious gluten free foods.Wheat was only developed 10,000 years ago. Before that, people ate lean meat, fish and vegetables. When wheat came on the scene, it was completely foreign. Human bodies have to adapt in order to tolerate it and a lot of people don’t tolerate it well at all.

Current research suggests that as many as 1 in 100 people have celiac disease (CD) which is equal to 1% of all Americans or 3 million people, 97% of whom are undiagnosed. 1 in 22 people are estimated to have it if a parent, child or sibling has it. The average child visits 8 doctors before receiving a correct diagnosis.

It takes an average of 11 years to be diagnosed with celiac disease in the United States. 60% of children and 41% of adults diagnosed with celiac disease showed NO symptoms during the five years they were tracked for a multicenter study of celiac disease.

Wheat free doesn’t mean gluten free!
If your body has problems with gluten, the GF diet may help relieve a lot of symptoms such as:

* Depression
* Fatigue
* Gastrointestinal Distress
* Headaches/Migraines
* Infertility
* Joint, Bone and/or Muscle Pain
* Respiratory Problems
* Weight Gain/Weight Loss

Many people who adopt a gluten free lifestyle feel better almost immediately, and not just those who have celiac disease or are gluten sensitive. Going gluten free can help with weight management and may also stabilize your blood sugar level, which eliminates mood crashes and sudden drops in your energy level. Gluten free eating may also help those suffering from headaches, acne, ADD, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, skin disorders, infertility and more.

OMG…It’s Gluten Free! provides tasty, healthy, gluten free foods.
